OPERA IN THE PARK Portland will offer two performances in summer 2026: Shute Park in Hillsboro and Peninsula Park in North Portland. The opera on offer this summer will be Cruzar la Cara de la Luna (To Cross the Face of the Moon), the world’s first mariachi opera.

After 21 years in Washington Park’s Rose Garden Amphitheater, OPERA IN THE PARK Portland is moving across the river to Peninsula Park. The free Sunday, Aug. 4, performance of Verdi’s La Traviata will be at the historic gazebo there.
OPERA IN THE PARK TAKE MUSIC TO THE PEOPLE
Portland’s annual Opera in the Park will take place in Washington Park on Sunday, Aug. 13, with a production of Giuseppe Verdi’s “Rigoletto,” one of the greatest operas in the canon.
