premieres include Renata in the Mariachi Opera Cruzar la Cara de la Luna, (HGO, Chicago
Lyric Opera, San Diego Opera, El Paso Opera, NYCOpera, Minnesota Opera, San Antonio
Opera, Kansas City Lyric Opera, Amarillo Opera, Châtelet Theatre in Paris, and and Quito,
Ecuador); as well as Renata in El Milagro del Recuerdo, (HGO, Arizona Opera); Harriet/First
Responder in After the Storm (HGO); and Alicia in Some Light Emerges (HGO). Other roles
include Melissa in Caccini’s Alcina (BEMF); Linda Morales in Laura Kaminski’s Hometown to
the World, Maria in Maria de Buenos Aires, Loma Williams in Cold Sassy Tree, and Sarelda in
The Inspector. In Early Music, collaborations include Ars Lyrica Houston, Early Music
Vancouver, Pacific Music Works, The Newberry Consort, The Boston Early Music Festival,
Mercury Houston, the Bach Collegium San Diego, Tafelmusik, AGAVE, the Whidbey Island
Baroque Music Festival, the Baroque Festival in Corona Del Mar, and the Kaleidoscope Vocal
Ensemble with whom she performs early and contemporary music. Cecilia is an active promoter
of Spanish language repertoire performing music through music periods, and genres. She is also
a licensed Mental Health practitioner serving the arts community.
